Toronto Corporate Team Building Event FAQ

Why is communication so important in leadership positions?

In any leadership position, communication is not just about conveying information; it’s about connecting with people, building trust, and inspiring action. Effective communication allows leaders to articulate a clear vision, set expectations, and provide the guidance that helps teams align with organizational goals.

Leaders who communicate well are able to foster an environment of openness and collaboration. They create a space where team members feel heard, valued, and motivated to contribute their best work. This kind of communication builds strong relationships and encourages a culture of mutual respect, where challenges are navigated together, and successes are celebrated collectively.

What’s the difference between a PLAYshop and a workshop?

Workshops are the old, boring way of improving team work. Our PLAYshops use the power of play to create a safe, positive, and creative environment that lead to key insights and takeaways! Play also helps reduce stress, have fun and forge real connections! Our experiential games combined with positive psychology help enhance the vital skills that high performing teams need. Skills such as communication, storytelling, emotional intelligence, innovation, empathy & resilience, to name a few!

What is the ideal group size for communication training??

We work with groups of all sizes! Our in person communication training is designed for groups of up to 20 people. We do have some PLAYshops suitable for different sizes, so get in touch to figure out which one is right for your group!

Key Elements Of Communication Workshops

Team building neural connections icon

Empathy

For executives, practicing empathy means not just hearing words but truly understanding the concerns and motivations behind them. This creates a more connected and motivated team, fostering an environment where everyone feels valued and understood.
listening icon

Listening

Active listening is more than just being quiet while someone else speaks; it’s about being fully present, engaged, and open to what is being shared. Executives who master the art of listening are able to gather insights, build trust, and make more informed decisions. This form of listening shows respect for others’ perspectives, paving the way for more meaningful and productive conversations.
compassionate communication icon

Compassion

Compassion in communication involves recognizing the challenges of others and responding with kindness. For executives, leading with compassion means creating a workplace where individuals feel safe to express their thoughts and feelings. This nurtures a culture of collaboration and resilience, where people are motivated to contribute their best, knowing they are supported by a leader who genuinely cares.
