The Emotional Intelligence Training PLAYshop is the ultimate team leadership training & workshop! Through its immersive games and content, teams will practice self-awareness & learn to recognize how what they say and do affects the people around them. This PLAYshop will increase personal and professional growth, social and emotional intelligence skills in order to succeed in any environment.

Intro: FOP Intro, How We’ll Learn, Aha’s Woohoo’s & Huh’s.
Opening Activity: Mystery Draw. Defining E.I and why important?
Big Idea: E.I. is simply being more human with another

KEY 1:
Self Awareness
(Know Your Emotions)

Content: Power of Mindfulness, Recognizing Emotions, Top Emotions in Business, Getting in Tune.

Sample Games: Hotseat Emotions, Guess Emotion, Emotional Name Swap, Nah!

Discussion: What emotions have you felt lately at work? Which could you use more of?

KEY 2:
Self Management
(Control Emotions)

Content: Truth/Dangers of negative emotions, Dealing with negative emotions (acknowledge/CTA), 2 Mindset Traps (complaining, criticism) & how to avoid.

Sample Games: 21, It Could be Worse, Status Walk, Defenders, StopGoClapName

Discussion: What (nagging) negative emotions have you experienced at work lately? What is your CTA?

KEY 3:
Social Awareness
(Shift Perspective)

Content: Def’n, CCI (capacities, concerns & interests) of others vs. own. Accepting other beliefs/values. Understanding = Trust

Sample Games: Anybody Else? Further/Closer, Interesting Email, Extremes, Interpretations/Mirror Dance

Discussion: How can you better recognize the needs of others on your team? Meetings, 1:1’s, projects, problem solving, etc?

KEY 4:
Relationship Management (Communication)

Content: Psych Safety, Communication (listen with intention, non-verbal, empathy, thoughtful action) . Listen-Loop-Dip. Dialogues vs Debates.

Sample Games: First/Last, Silent Opera, Clapparama, Consultants, Pancakes vs Waffles

Discussion: How can you improve team relationships through communication? Which of the 4 keys can you personally focus on?

Playful Finale*: Emotional Intelligence Toy - a 30+ min guided Experiential Activity to round out the PLAYshop! A blindfolded puzzle game that can only be solved when players learn to understand each other. In small teams & immersive gameplay, participants will draw connections between game outcomes & the collaborative strategies needed for success in their own work.

Wrap Up: All Playshops include a Recap, Takeaways, and HomePlay!
