Play, Discover, Innovate! The Innovation PLAYshop is the ultimate outside the box workshop! Through it's immersive games and content, teams will learn the simple and fun process to come up with original ideas that have value. Participants will learn the 4 steps to enhance creativity and lead to next-level breakthroughs!
Objective: Practicing curiosity, play & (joyful) failure in order to enhance creativity and lead to breakthroughs

Big Idea: All ideas come from other ideas!
STEP 1:
Get Curious
(Find Your Sandbox)
Content: Defining Curiosity, Learning Curiosity: Be Humble, Eyes Open, Big Why? Find Your Sandbox!
Sample Games: Anybody Else? Near/Far, ‘Why’ Game, Askhole, WYD? Mind Meld
Discussion: What am I curious about at work? What are potential topics to solve/uncover? What is your ‘sandbox’?
STEP 2:
Experiment/Play
Content: Reconnect w/ play! Finding vs Thinking Of Ideas. No judging. S.C.A.M.P.E.R (Substitute, Combine, Adapt, Modify, Put to other use, Eliminate, Rearrange)
Sample Games: Judging Police, Trifecta, Reinvention, Whoosh, SCAMPER Activity
Discussion: How can you create a ‘sandbox’ environment? Apply one element of SCAMPER to your topic and get feedback
STEP 3:
Fail (Joyfully)
Content: Failing joyfully, 3 Myths of Failure (distortion, perception, FOF). Rethinking failure (no right answer, just new info, revel/play).
Sample Games: Nah, Failure Ovation, 21, Clapparama, Bippity Bop
Discussion: In what ways can you create a culture of ‘joyful failure’ on your teams? E.g. of a likely failed SCAMPER idea & what you might learn?
Playful Finale: Innovation Rapid Fire Presentations & HomePlay
Playful Finale 1*: SLAM! Innovation** - a 30+ min guided Experiential Activity to round out the PLAYshop! Teams will be guided through a FUN innovation practice where they build on each others ideas & ’slam’ down new ideas. They will be aided with ThinkPak cards in order to practice S.C.A.M.P.E.R. Lastly they will group ideas into one new innovation & present it through an ‘art’ piece.

Playful Finale 2*: FAILURE TOY GAME - A 30+ min guided Experiential Activity to round out the PLAYshop! Teams will be guided through several rounds with a ‘Resiliency Toy’, where they learn resiliency, ‘joyful’ failure and adopting a growth mindset.
